MOT Tester required for a Family Run Business in Hedge End 

Salary DOE 

We are now seeking talented MOT Tester to join our client's team in Hedge End/West End. The main objective of the role is to accurately and skillfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles of all makes and models.

Objectives  

• Accurately and skillfully undertake the MOT testing of motor vehicles
• Work with other departments in the retailer to facilitate the servicing and repair of vehicles
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer and industry guidelines 
• Fulfill all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction
• Help retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency 

Measures 

• Departmental complaints log
• Repeat service visits / ‘fixed right first time’ log
• Productivity / efficiency vs target
• VQM / retailer audit against standards and guidelines

Key Tasks
Objective:

• Accurately and skillfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles
• Analyse work orders to identify what work has been agreed; seek clarification from the Service Advisor if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect
• Evaluate the condition of the vehicle
• Document completed work orders, ensuring hours and materials used are accurately and appropriately recorded and all warranty material is kept and returned to the Warranty Clerk
• Perform repair work as directed, within timescales and in accordance with established and documented procedures, as well as conducting routine service work on all makes of vehicle
