Vehicle Technician required for an independent Garage in Somerset
Salary DOE in the region of £30-50k basic
Working hours- Mon-Fri 8am-5:30pm (1 in 4 saturday mornings) Saturdays paid as overtime.
Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician looking for a fresh opportunity in a reputable independent garage? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our client's friendly team in Somerset.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles to a high standard. You’ll work in a well-equipped workshop with a supportive team, ensuring customers receive top-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
- Perform MOT preparation work (MOT tester qualification desirable but not essential)
- Work efficiently to ensure timely turnaround for customers
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role (independent or main dealer)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
