After our Wing Walk got postponed 3 times last year, we finally got to take to the skies on Monday 5th June! Sharron, Siobhan, Chloe and Mary took turns to get harnessed onto the wing of a Boeing Stearman, a plane built in 1942 for WWII pilot training!
The plane, affectionately named "The Yellow One" is based at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent. We were lucky to have a beautifully clear day, albeit with a chilly wind!
We managed to hit our fundraising target the night before we were due to fly and we were absolutely buzzing on our journey down to Kent! I say we were buzzing.,,,,,,, there were a LOT of nerves in the car!
Mary's Mum and Dad also drove down to Kent for moral support, so were on hand for Mum-Hugs!
To date, we've raised a whiopping £3,665 for charity, and we would like to say a huge Thank You to all who supported us!
